Super Visa Insurance

What is a Super Visa?

The Super Visa is an option for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit their family in Canada. These individuals may be eligible to apply for the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa to visit their family in Canada for up to 2 years without the need to renew their status. This visa is valid for 10 years and can permit a single entry or multi-entries into Canada.

What is a Super Visa?

To obtain a Parent or Grandparent Super Visa for Canada, applicants must have valid emergency medical insurance. Super Visa applicants need to provide proof that they have private emergency medical insurance valid for a minimum of 1 year, from a Canadian insurance company and that it:

  • Covers emergency medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation
  • Provides a minimum coverage of $100,000
  • Is valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a port of entry officer

For more details, visit the Government of Canada's Parents and Grandparents Super Visa website.

Student Travel Insurance

Are you a Canadian student planning to study abroad or an international student studying in Canada? From a campus flu outbreak to a dental emergency, anything can happen. Getting sick or injured away from the comforts of home can be especially stressful, so you will want to know you are covered.

We are here to help. We will make sure you get the best possible medical care, so you can concentrate on what matters most, like getting your assignments in on time and making new friends!

Sports Participation Coverage

If you play on an official university sports team, you may be at an increased risk of sports-related injury. Unfortunately, your school’s insurance plan may not provide full coverage for such injuries. Sports Participation Coverage provides student athletes playing on university athletic teams with coverage over and above their school’s medical coverage.

Insurance for Canadian Students Studying Outside of Home Province or Abroad

Did you know that the full benefits of your provincial medical health plan do not travel with you? That means if you experience an emergency outside of home province or abroad, you could be stuck with costly medical bills. In fact, most schools require you to have a medical insurance plan before you begin your classes.

Insurance for International Students Studying in Canada

Medical and dental treatments are expensive in Canada and international students often cannot get provincial healthcare. That means if you experience an emergency, you will be responsible to pay for any medical care costs while you are here.
